Hi, I'm Cynthia and this is my story!
I have always been interested in health and nutrition. I was reading books on nutrition when I was in my early twenties. In Adele Davis’ classic, “Let’s Eat Right to Keep Fit,” she told us not to eat hydrogenated vegetable oil, aka margarine, now known transfat. (The extra hydrogen atom added to vegetable oil to keep it from becoming rancid, makes it a solid fat and difficult to digest and a leading cause of clogged arteries). She was telling us this in the 70’s! Hippocrates, Father of Medicine, in 400 BC said, “Let Food Be Thy Medicine.” That could not be more true today.

I taught myself yoga from a book when I was 21 years old. There were no yoga studios in Michigan in the 70’s. I have since traveled all over the country attending yoga conferences, practicing all different kinds of yoga. I LOVE yoga. While at conferences, I practiced Kundalini Yoga and later became a certified teacher of it. The beautiful music and the spiritual aspect made it a good fit for me. It is a very unique kind of yoga.

THIS IS MY STORY OF HEALING…

In the early 90’s I struggled with chronic fatigue. The doctors said I was in perfect health by my blood work and recommended anti-depressants. I was tired, not depressed. I knew they were wrong. I lost faith, then and there, in doctors with their “drugs are the answer” to any condition, even when they have no idea the cause . Because they did not know what was wrong, they thought it mental.

This led me to pursue all types of alternative healing. I knew I could heal myself. I was determined. I had two young daughters at the time and was very motivated to get back to health. I have spent a lot of time, effort and money in my quest for health. I came away with this awareness: All healing is possible. The body is designed to heal itself when given what it needs to heal. What it needs in general is good food, very good food, the belief that healing is expected or at least possible, a positive attitude, and strategies to deal with stress. Negative thoughts, worry, fear, stress, and the Western medical approach of prescribing drugs first, are all going against the healing process.

I realized that I knew very little about the body. Isn’t it important to know how to take care of the body we are living in? And knowing what the body needs to be healthy?

I enrolled in massage school, graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 1996. While in school, I was introduced to essential oils. I was fascinated by their healing potential. I bought many oils during that time. I was reading books about aromatherapy. Then I found Young Living “therapeutic grade” oils. I experienced a major difference in these oils versus the other oils I had purchased. Therapeutic Grade oils are living frequencies. That is what makes them so powerful. Essential oils are 80% more powerful than herbs because they have not been dried AND the life force of the plant remains intact. Our bodies know exactly what to do with the oils. They are a concentrated healing essence. In fact, I eliminated a sinus infection in two hours by a specific blend of essential oils. I am not allowed by the FDA to be specific. They would say I am treating and diagnosing. Please get an Essential Oils Desk Reference and read all about it. My severe allergy to cats and all other allergies went away by eliminating wheat, dairy and the use of a certain Therapeutic Grade Essential oil, and reducing stress. Stress compromises the immune system.

I love cats. Now I have two beautiful cats and I have for 13 years!

I teach classes in the Detroit area on Creating a Healthy Non- Toxic Lifestyle- reduce stress and activate optimal health through nutritious Food, Good Sleep, Meditation, Breathing, Essential Oils, Non-Toxic Lifestyle and Yoga/Movement.

Be well. I hope you enjoy this website.
